Founded on Service, Driven by Community Impact

Founded in April 2023 by Eriel Forrest, a disabled U.S. Air Force veteran and Florida State University alumna from Pompano Beach, Grants 4 U Inc. was created to empower South Florida entrepreneurs through access to grant writing support, funding opportunities, and essential business assistance services.

Eriel’s passion for helping entrepreneurs stems from her own upbringing in a hardworking veteran- and Black-owned family business. From the age of 13, she worked alongside her father, gaining firsthand experience in the realities of small business ownership. Like many entrepreneurs, her family started their business without formal business training, large startup capital, or access to professional guidance. As a result, Eriel often found herself researching and navigating critical aspects of business operations — including taxes, payroll, certifications, licensing, business compliance, legal documentation, and trademarking.

Her natural attention to detail, paired with years of hands-on business exposure, allowed her to develop strong research and problem-solving skills early on. That precision was further strengthened during her six years of service in the United States Air Force Reserves as an Aerial Porter, where accuracy and accountability are critical in mission-driven environments — much like the meticulous nature required when preparing competitive grant applications.

During the post-COVID recovery period, Eriel and her family began learning more about grant funding opportunities available to small businesses. After successfully helping her own family secure multiple grants, a realization sparked: many entrepreneurs simply lacked access to the information, guidance, and support needed to pursue these opportunities.

What began as helping family and friends quickly expanded into assisting other entrepreneurs within her community. Recognizing the widespread need for accessible funding education and resources, Eriel decided to create a centralized platform where small business owners could learn about grants, prepare their businesses for funding, and receive the support they needed to navigate the process.

With that vision, Grants 4 U Inc. was born — an organization dedicated to breaking down barriers to funding and providing entrepreneurs with practical tools, knowledge, and opportunities that help them grow and succeed.

Business Support That’s Engaging, Relatable, and Fun

What makes Grants 4 U unique is that our board and leadership team come from the very entrepreneurial community we serve. Our leadership reflects diverse lived experiences, including minorities, women, veterans, mothers, entrepreneurs, and individuals with disabilities.

Because of this perspective, we understand firsthand the challenges many small business owners face — from navigating funding opportunities to balancing the daily demands of running a business. This allows us to design programs and services that are practical, accessible, and rooted in real-world experience.

As an organization founded within disadvantaged communities, we believe in meeting entrepreneurs where they are. You may not always find us in formal conference rooms or corporate ballrooms — instead, you’ll often find us in the spaces where entrepreneurs already gather: local libraries, neighborhood restaurants, community events, and small business hubs.

We believe that support should feel approachable, relatable, and accessible. Our goal is to create an environment where entrepreneurs feel comfortable asking questions, learning, and growing alongside a network that truly understands their journey.

At Grants 4 U, we are not just advisors — we are part of the community we serve.

Strategic Partnerships and Vision

In the world of business, one thing is clear — no one succeeds alone. Building a successful business requires collaboration, shared knowledge, and a strong support network. Entrepreneurs already carry many responsibilities, so having trusted partners and resources can make a meaningful difference in their journey.

Through collaborations and partnerships with organizations such as Miami-Dade County Economic Advocacy Trust(MDEAT), The Miami Foundation, the Haitian American Chamber of Commerce of Florida, and the Miami-Dade County Strategic Procurement Department, among many others, Grants 4 U, Inc. continues to build a robust ecosystem of support for entrepreneurs across South Florida.

Many of these organizations have played an important role in supporting the communities we serve, and together we are strengthening the pathway for small businesses to access funding, certifications, education, and growth opportunities.

With upgraded technology, expanded resources, and a growing team, our vision is to become South Florida’s premier resource for grant notifications, grant application support, and business certification assistance, creating a lasting and measurable impact across the region’s small business community.
